The Hawk and Stieb Circa '83

Chad Cordero, Jon Rauch, and Juan Rivera look to join illustrious company in this upcoming baseball season. When they step on the field as members of the Toronto Blue Jays they will 56th, 57th, and 58th player to play with Canadian Major League Franchises. The Jays are well-armed for the 2011 season, but would be better served if they weren’t exiled to to the A.L. East. In most divisions 85 wins will get you close to first place, however in the ALE it usually gets you to 4th place. That leaves the Jays a far cry from their World Series glory days of the early 90s. While the  Montreal Expos (1969-2004) never reached the World Series they were recently represented in the Fall Classic by one of their greatest players…probable HOFer Vlad Guerrero. Guerrero helped slugged the Rangers into the World Series but his stop in Texas was shorter than Pee Wee’s visit to the Alamo.
